The Moors for the Future Partnership (MFTFP), which protects areas of moorland throughout the Peak District is using boodi eco-ashtrays to prevent people from dropping cigarette butts and causing fires. The Moors for the Future Partnership website states that:
'Between 1976 and 2004 there were over 350 reported accidental fires on the Peak District moors caused by carelessness. Here's how you can be `moor careful` and help prevent further fires.'

This month we have sold boodi portable ashtrays to various organisations that will use the eco-ashtray to prevent countryside and moorland fires. The boodi eco-ashtray was initially developed for smokers in the outdoors, which is why it is small, lightweight, easy to open with one hand and quick at extinguishing lit cigarettes.
The organisations which currently hand-out eco-ashtrays to walkers had their logos and fire prevention messages printed onto the recyclable ashtray, which is an effective and inexpensive way to communicate to smokers.

Suffolk Police recently bought eco-friendly boodi portable ashtrays to use as part of an initiative to raise public awareness of cigarette litter and the £80 litter fines, which are being handed-out to smokers who drop their cigarette butts.
The Suffolk Police NightSafe team is working in partnership with Suffolk Coastal Services Ltd in order to promote a cleaner and greener district. The boodi eco-ashtrays were branded for the campaign and awareness posters were produced in order to help get the message across to the public.

Our innovative, eco-friendly has been written about in the very stylish Dutch newspaper, De Pers. We aren't sure why it states that it can't be used for Havana cigars. It wouldn't be as small and handy if it were big enough to take Havanas!

Germany's popular IVY TV recently tested and reviewed the boodi eco-ashtray. The guys smoked a cigarette to test the portable ashtray and we think one of them had recently given-up smoking because he seems to experience a head-rush during the review!
